1. Better observation, better development conditions<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Der Time-lapse-Inkubator ist ein geschlossenes System: Jedes Kinderwunschpaar erh\u00e4lt in der Kinderwunsch Praxisklinik Fleetinsel seine eigene Inkubationskammer, in der eine integrierte Infrarotkamera die gesamte Entwicklung dokumentiert. Die Embryonen m\u00fcssen also nicht \u2013 wie beim offenen System des konventionellen Inkubators \u2013 zur Beobachtung herausgenommen werden. 2. Embryos with developmental potential can be recognised earlier<\/strong><\/h3>\n

With the help of the time-lapse incubator, we can harness the embryos\u2019 morphokinetics, i.e. the dynamics of the development process, for our assessment for the first time. This allows us to recognise whether an embryo is actually viable, i.e. whether it has the potential to implant and lead to a pregnancy. <\/p>\n

3. Gentler treatment, higher treatment quality<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In der Kinderwunsch Praxisklinik Fleetinsel konzentrieren wir uns darauf, durch eine m\u00f6glichst schonende Behandlung eine besonders hohe Behandlungsqualit\u00e4t zu erreichen. Dazu geh\u00f6rt eine moderate Stimulation der Eierst\u00f6cke von unter zehn Eizellen. So erhalten wir Eizellen, die ein besseres Entwicklungspotential bieten. Denn je h\u00f6her die Anzahl, zum Beispiel \u00fcber zehn, desto niedriger ist die relative Eizellqualit\u00e4t. Dar\u00fcber hinaus birgt eine m\u00f6gliche \u00dcberstimulation (OHSS \u2013 Ovarielles Hyperstimulationssyndrom) nicht nur Risiken f\u00fcr die Frau, auch die Zahl chromosomal-gest\u00f6rter Eizellen nimmt dabei drastisch zu, so dass das Entwicklungspotential sp\u00e4terer Embryonen sinkt. In Abh\u00e4ngigkeit vom Befund und Alter der Frau ben\u00f6tigen wir im Idealfall etwa f\u00fcnf bis acht qualitativ hochwertige Eizellen. Wenn die Prognose f\u00fcr die Anzahl befruchtungsf\u00e4higer Eizellen es erfordert, passen wir das Behandlungsziel selbstverst\u00e4ndlich an und steigern die Stimulation moderat. <\/p>\n

4. Higher pregnancy rate with lower multiple birth rate<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We are guided by the \u201cGerman middle way\u201d, described in Prof Monika Frommel\u2019s interpretation of the Embryo Protection Act (Journal of Reproduction and Endocrinology 2007; 4 (1), 27-33). According to this interpretation, as many egg cells may be developed into an embryo culture as can be expected to result in a maximum of two to three viable embryos. In order to achieve a higher treatment quality and therefore a higher-quality result, our aim is to carry out a Double Embryo Transfer (DET) or Single Embryo Transfer (SET). This allows us to minimise the risks that pose a particular threat to health and therefore also to successful fertility treatment. These include, above all, multiple pregnancies, which mean a significantly higher risk of miscarriage and premature birth, low birth weight and an increased risk of mortality before, during and after birth. The time-lapse method provides us with decisive support in this respect, as we can assess the development potential of the embryos by photographically recording the entire development process of the germ cell. This means that we transfer the embryo or embryos that are actually viable, i.e. that can lead to a pregnancy. More information on how many embryos are transferred is available here<\/em><\/a>. If there are more embryos with development and transfer potential than was expected, these can be vitrified (frozen) on request and transferred to the uterus at a later date in a non-stimulated cycle. <\/p>\n
